Leaf litter holds moisture, gets heavy and when frozen it can even cause condensation on the underside of the roof decking. The weight and condensation work together to cause sagging and soft spots in your roof decking and if left to it’s course, it will rot your roof completely through. Piles of leaves in your roof valleys disrupt the flow and can cause the water to back up under the roof, causing leaks and damaging your vaulted ceilings.
