Identifying Wind Damage

  • Look for shingles matching your roof in your yard and neighbors yards. If you are finding shingles on the ground or loose on the roof, it is possible that you already have a leaky roof.
  • Check your downspouts, where the water comes out, and look for colored roof granules. Large amounts of granules, indicate that your shingles have been damaged and probably need replaced.
  • Look for tree branches that have fallen onto the roof. It is possible that the branch poked a hole in your roof. Larger branches can land with enough force to damage roof decking (plywood) and even break the roof rafters. It is important to have your roof inspected if you suspect your roof may have been damaged.

Ben was fast to call me back and came to my house at the time discussed. After thoroughly inspecting my roof he came down and showed me pictures of troublesome areas, explaining to me what he suspected happened. We talked for a bit about the different roof damage he sees and how things typically work with insurance companies and finally recommending that I wait to get my roof replaced! Imagine that, a sales person actually given me honest advice. Needless to say I had already prepared myself to call my insurance company but apparently no need to at this time. Amazing customer experience and when we have any issues with our roof again Ben and Diligent will be our first call.

Through that meet, they addressed a small roof leak at my home. It was a small leak, and these two took nearly 2 hours of creative inspection work to identity where it was coming from. After the problem was solved they even re-placed my trex deck, looking the same as it did prior. J. R. J. May 18, 2022 Was on hook for replacing 30 year old roof as part of the sale of my house. Received multiple bids from many different roofers, the highest of which was 20 squares for $15K. As it was a contingency of the sale, buyer was adamant the chosen roofer had ALL the proper credentials, contractors licenses and references. I had to toss the lowest bid because the roofer was a sub-contractor, and just didn't have the proper credentials. Diligent not only did their best for me to get as close to this original number as they possibly could, but also proved to be a CHAMP in dealing with the title company and buyer's agent. Diligent took it upon themselves to "snatch up the ball", run with it and give the powers that be everything they needed to prove competence, and well before they even had to be asked to produce it! This reduced my stress phenomenally, and allowed me to concentrate on packing. They completed the roof in ONE day (10.5 hours total) and the roof looks AMAZING. I don't typically leave reviews but WOW, Diligent is DILIGENT and saved my butt, BIGTIME.
